Babsi Zangerl just became the first person to free climb a route on El Capitan on her first try, without a fall. Her ascent closes a 30-year chapter of attempts. https://www.climbing.com/news/history-of-el-capitan-flash-attempts/

Just test-drove the topo editor that @bohwaz@mamot.fr fixed up, and it's working great, nice work!! Scaling is a bit off; I had to scale up pretty much everything (lines, marks, text) by 200-300%, but that's due to images being so huge nowadays. Looking forward to updating my photos of The Crag Next Door with proper topos! [image: 1730914274412-dilligaf.png]

In the late 1300s, experts point to drought and other environmental stressors impacting the Puebloan people in the Southwest leading toward societal collapse. Vichy97 provided this update on the Discord #mobile-dev channel yesterday! Another day, another feature. The main items remaining before release are the profile screen, the about screen (to include open betas mission and the ability to leave feedback or report bugs), the ability to tick climbs and upload images (other editing will come in a future release), and deeplinks. Other than those items, just styling and bug fixes/UI improvements. Getting close to a release! 'Rhapsody' is every bit as hard and runout as it was in 2006, however the many repetitions—and widely watched whipper videos—lowered the mystique of the route somewhat. Mat Wright proves its still got some bite. https://www.climbing.com/videos/huge-fall-off-one-worlds-hardest-trad-routes/
