  • A bunch of pigeons objected to our at a crag. They weren't content to try to shit on us, they were trying to kill us by repeatedly trying to drop rocks on our heads.

    This is why I don't get people who don't wear helmets when climbing outdoors. Even if you are a 9c+ conquering Spider-person who never ever makes a mistake, merciless nature is out to get you.

    @dare@kamu.social I was climbing a neat free standing pinnacle at my local crag and was about to reach the anchors when I looked up and saw a turkey vulture's head peering over the edge at me.

    Luckily there wasn't a nest at the top or anything, it was genuinely curious about this crazy human climbing rocks, and flew away soon after πŸ˜„

    @devnull Yikes. Hope it wasn't like at a crux move on a serious route, because I'd imagine a surprise vulture would really mess up one's concentration. πŸ˜…
