Outdoor season opened yesterday at Mustavuori, Tampere (see my bright blue pants in the upper right corner). Climbed easy sport routes, most of them in a top rope. Heroically I did try to lead the very first route, but rock felt so different after long winter months indoors that my nerves gave up after four quickdraws. But it was a good try, all things considered. Today everything hurts, but who cares. #climbing #rockclimbing #kiipeily #deartrainingdiary

In 2024 while on a trip to Argentina, Brazilian Felipe Camargo was invited by the Colombian climbing community to tackle a legendary project bolted in 2015. Over 6 days, with unwavering support and cheers from the local community, Felipe climbed La Vuelta Al Mundo (9a/5.14d), establishing it as Colombia's hardest rock climb. https://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?n=778825

“Life can be rugged and cold, or smooth and exciting. The climb these two have just performed today symbolizes life and all of its trials and excitements,” read our officiant. “…All love is enclosed in our love: / all thirst ends in our embrace,” I read, starting an excerpt from “Ode and Burgeonings” by Pablo… https://climbingzine.com/long-life-endures-climber-wedding-sara-aranda/
