    Is there any app that lets you use the separate BT earpieces (like AirPods etc) to communicate directly from one to the other?You connect them to one phone, as normal, but then two people have each one in one ear and can talk to each other?I was with a friend to a climbing hall, and even though it was a "quiet" time, it was still hard to talk when one person is far up on the wall and the other was securing you on the floor. Thought this could be a perfect solution.#StealThisIdea #climbing

    It’s that time of year again–the AAC has invited the editor of Accidents in North American Climbing, Pete Takeda, to hop on the pod to chat about emerging trends in climbing accidents. This year, we’re also delighted to have a conversation with Dr. Valerie Karr, a professor at UMASS who has stepped in to help us with a massive data analysis project. Valerie used grounded theory analysis to parse through 20 years of accidents data—picking out patterns in how human behavior contributes to accidents. We discuss some examples like risk normalization, the mentor trap, and attitudes around fixed gear.     I spent this last week in North Wales on a lead #climbing course at Plas Y Brenin. Although it was late in the year the course instructor managed to get us climbing outside every day. We explored many of the interesting crags available including the sea cliffs.It was a great course and Peter was a great guide and instructor. I’ve learned loads and am looking forwards to getting out next year exploring more of the amazing #tradclimbing places in North Wales.
