feeling stoked! just lead a 5.11 in the gym for the first time in some years! it was a route that played to my strengths (slabby, balancy moves) but pretty excited to be back in the 11's! #climbing #rockclimbing #sportclimbing

Do you rock climb, and also use an Android device? Do you want to try an alpha to get some beta? (har har har) ... via the OpenBeta Discord... we're seeking Android users to test drive the upcoming alpha release of the OpenBeta mobile app: I'm planning on making an internal Alpha release this week. If you have an Android device and would like to be included in this, please DM me your email so I can opt you in. We need at least 20 alpha testers to be eligible for public release so I encourage everyone to test the Alpha build if they can! — Vichy79 If you're interested, simply DM Vichy79 on Discord, or reply here and I will pass on the message! In the meantime, here's a screenshot of what the image viewer looks like in-app. Pretty slick! [image: 1730741361200-screenshot_20241103-125507.png] You can also join our OpenBeta Discord here. P.S. Did you know we just did a volunteer spotlight on Vincent? Check it out!

An Eau Claire, Wisconsin, resident has died climbing Devil's Tower (also known as Bear's Lodge) in Wyoming.A stranded climbing partner was rescued."Over the 100 plus year climbing history at the Tower, there have only been seven climbing deaths. While climbing fatalities at Devils Tower are infrequent, it is still inherently dangerous."https://www.nps.gov/deto/learn/news/news-20240923.htm#outdoors #RockClimbing

Because of things, I have an opportunity to be in Gariwerd / the Grampians and possibly head to Dyurrite / Mt Arapiles for a few (weekdays) later this month. Nothing on my agenda, rocks on my mind.Anyone want to trust me with their life / go climb rocks on trad gear? Happy just cruising - been a minute, need to recalibrate the gear eyes. Or go bouldering (you have to bring the crash mats) or just hang out by a campfire and wander around. Probs from 23-26 September...#rockClimbing #Victoria

As a dedicated climber I've used the CAMP Photon #WireCarabiner over the past year. Its standout compact design, thanks to the wire gate, allows for easy clipping in tight spots and on your harness or pack. Perfect for multi-pitch climbs, it ensures quick and effortless clipping and unclipping. Despite its light weight, it's impressively strong. The Photon Wire is a top choice for those seeking durable and reliable #climbinggear.https://verticallstore.com/products/camp-photon-wire-carabiner#rockclimbing #climbingclips #carabiner
