French climber Nina Arthaud has climbed Direct North(Font 8B+/V14) in Bishop, California. The problem was her second of the grade after she climbedCompass Northin Fionnay, Switzerland, in late 2024.

Finally back to #climbing after 2 months of absence.
And got to highpoint with an onsight of the green route in the image located between the person climbing on the left and the Autobelay on the right.
Votes for the grade are 50-50 between UIAA 7- and 7.
Most holds are smallish pinches and the second to last hold is an uncomfortable slopery hold. The upper third of the wall is slightly overhanging.

Just back from sport #climbing at Horseshoe Quarry in the #peakdistrict. Weather was really good with just a couple of short rain showers yesterday. The rock in the quarry was in pretty good condition. I lead a route and did a multi pitch on a 32m route in the slab section. It has been pretty special climbing in warm sunshine in the UK.
