This week's Friday Night Video is about the pure obsession and effort behind a hard trad first ascent by Qubcois/Australian Jacques Beaudoin.Mother Earth (8b) is a stunning sixty-degree thin crack climb hidden amongst bushland that has been heavily impacted by industrial logging and mining, as well as wildfires.

Ran a short rope protection and security course for some hill walking and scrambling friends of mine today. Included improvised harnesses, Italian hitch, clove hitch, assisted hoist, anchors, rappelling, classic belay, belays, prusicks, basic rescue and more. Hopefully everyone came away more confident about having to deal with an emergency situation. Anyway, it was a lot of fun and laughs in the strong winds. #climbing #scrambling #hiking #rockclimbers #mountaincourses
