@mkroehnert Most crags in Belgium are limestone. This one's a bit special because it's a dolomite form of limestone. But I don't know if that's the reason for all the pockets/holes. That's very typical of #Beez only. If you follow the hashtag, you can see some more pictures I posted last year.

Bit of a miserable day of #climbing in #Beez, #belgium yesterday.24 Mar 2025, 07:03Bit of a miserable day of #climbing in #Beez, #belgium yesterday. Got spooked while leading the first easy climb. Continued on top-rope and couldn't finish any of the subsequent routes without hangdogging. Frustrating...
It's a style of climbing that's not really my favorite though. Slightly overhanging with lots of pockets and you can't really see which are the good ones until you move to them. So lots of trying, retreating, etc. Which requires more strength than I have available. -
Today was an absolutely beautiful day to start #climbing outside again.8 Mar 2025, 18:42@devnull It was 19C today, which is a new record for March 8. So it's a bit worrying, but I have to admit I quite enjoyed it.

Today was an absolutely beautiful day to start #climbing outside again.8 Mar 2025, 18:28Today was an absolutely beautiful day to start #climbing outside again. We went back to Landelies, near Charleroi because it's a warm south-facing crag with ample opportunity to get reacquainted with tiny rock holds after climbing indoors on plastic during the winter.

Wonder if it's worth asking for #bouldering or #climbing #beta on Mastodon?7 Dec 2024, 16:14@jeztastic Hard to say indeed. If the other suggestions fail: how about turning your left hip into the wall and putting the left foot "behind" you. I.e.: bend the left knee, put your left foot on with the toe pointing downwards/to the right.
