Shenanigans and candids from Red River Gorge, July 2024
-
Had a great time with some friends at RRG last month. I made another post with more sporty shots, but here are some of my favorite shenanigans and candid shots from the trip.
One of my favorite moments is the first picture, where I anchored directly into the third bolt of a route so I could use my fancy camera to get some pictures of friends climbing the route next to it.
Can't wait to go back!

Nice shots!
Top down shots are always superior to the plethora of ground-up butt shots you usually see from others.
I've been experimenting with different techniques to get better shots, balancing that with convenience on-route.
Last time up I got decent shots utilising a top belay while bringing my second up. Angle was a still a tad crappy though.

I'm pretty nooby with different belay styles, I pretty much only know lead and top rope, I don't know how to do things like belay from above or rappel and such. Maybe you or someone else could make a guide? I'm always looking to become more of a climbing nerd
